The author Mary Roach has published a book entitled BONK: The Curious Coupling of Science and Sex which chonicles the history of sexual research. Wtitten in a slightly humurous tone, the author reviews many of the studies performed for the benefit of achieving a better orgasm. In this article, the interviewers discussed many controversial topics including the issue of the G-spot. Her conclusion, after much reading, is that there is no doubt that the front/upper wall of the vagina is an erogenous zone. Now that the UK is buzzing about the introduction of the G-shot, the blogs have been overun with press releases regarding the G-spot. I found this quiz which tests the subjects knowledge about the G-spot. Some of the answers may be controversial but it’s fairly accurate and fun to take. So if you learn better via the Socratic method, you may find this a valuable lesson.

National Orgasm Day (at least in England) is July 31, 2008. Do we have such a designated holiday on this side of the Atlantic? This press release not only announces and prepares the masses for the celebration but also contests recent Italian researchers claiming that some women do NOT have a G spot. One of the experts quoted here states that all women can achieve a vaginal orgasm via g-spot stimultation through a regimen of exercises.

This video claims to represent a new genre of eduational porn. Kind of makes sense, who else would better know the location of the g-spot than someone who makes a living from finding it? Although this does not represent an endorsement, Tristan Taormino’s “Expert Guide to the G-Spot,” seems to blend the best of both worlds. It would be highly unllikely that you would fall asleep during this lecture. Judging from the picture, the anatomic details appear to be accurate.
